This is my personal civic site. It is where voters in Area C and the press can read what I believe about specific district issues and what I have done about them.
I have served on local school boards for 14 years: from 2010 to 2018 on the Las Lomitas Elementary School District Board, and since 2020 on the Sequoia Union High School District Board, where I currently serve as Vice President.
On most matters that come before the SUHSD Board, the trustees are in alignment on the direction of the district. There are two issues on which I have voted in the 3 to 2 minority on behalf of the priorities of voters in Area C: advanced standing (honors) courses, and ethnic studies as a graduation requirement. I have laid out my positions on each, and on the unanimous decision to close TIDE Academy, on the pages linked below.
